Yota Morimoto

His works attend to the materiality of sound and explores non-conventional approaches to generating and transmitting sonic matters. He composes for musicians, ensembles and public spaces, presents sound installations at musea and festivals such as Kunstmuseum [The Hague], Gaudeamus [Utrecht], Transmediale [Berlin], ISEA [Dortmund, Istanbul], ICMC [Belfast, Perth, Athens], SMC [Porto, Barcelona] and WeSA [Seoul].
Currently, a Visiting Professor at the Institue of Sonology, Royal Conservatory in The Hague and Associate Professor at Waseda University in Tokyo.

森本洋太 ハーグ王立音楽院ソノロジー研究所修士、英国バーミンガム大学作曲博士。 2006年に渡蘭、欧州を中心に活動。室内楽作品が各地のアンサンブルにより委嘱・演奏されている他、 ハーグ市立美術館、Transmediale（Berlin）、ISEA（Dortmund, Istanbul）、WeSA（Seoul）などで作品を発表。 この他、アムステルダム映像博物館、資生堂、本田技術研究所、NTTコミュニケーション科学基礎研究所、 産業技術総合研究所などに楽曲や音響生成システムを提供。

近年では公共空間の音環境デザインに取組み、「シンガポール空港のための音楽」や国際花博Floriade2022の音楽を発表する。 2023年よりハーグ王立音楽院客員教授。2024年より早稲田大学表現工学科准教授。
